I'm Adam McCarthy

My passion for photography and videography began at a young age, and I have been creatively editing for many years.

In the summer of 2019, my own wedding experience inspired me to establish Smeaton Productions. Having a dedicated photographer and videographer made our day truly unforgettable, and I wanted to offer the same meaningful experience to others.

During the summer of 2020, amidst the first lockdown, I officially launched Smeaton Productions while continuing my day job.

In addition to weddings, I specialize in photography and videography for theatre productions, couple and family portraits, proposals, and various events.

There is nothing more fulfilling than capturing life’s most cherished moments—preserving them for you to treasure for a lifetime.

Just wow!! We hired Adam to do photography at our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough, he was amazing from start to finish. The pictures are amazing, he makes you feel so at ease during the chaos! Anything we wanted or needed help with he was there like a flash ready to make sure we had the most perfect day. Even enjoys a little boogie on the dance floor with everyone! The pictures we’ve received are phenomenal, captured all of our intimate and family moments beautifully. The friendliest photographer!Adam is a master at what he does. From the initial messages he was friendly, professional and informative. Very reasonably priced, he caught such amazing moments and had the best suggestions for photos that we hadn't even thought of. He looked at what we wanted and went above and beyond in delivery. Everyone was commenting on what a lovely guy he was, he didn't make the "photo portion" of the wedding boring or long, he kept it fun and worked his magic as quickly as he could so guests could enjoy a drink and a chat. We received a sneak peak of the mornings photos at the evening reception, and then the next day I woke up to find more photos had been sent over! We can't wait to see the final product of them all. A very likeable, down to earth man who will make you feel so at ease that you'll forget you're having photos taken
